Privacy policy

S Reid Roofing Ltd is the data controller for personal information submitted through this site. This page sets out what we collect, why, and your rights under UK GDPR.

What we collect

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only where necessary: with our email delivery provider, which transmits enquiries from this site to us; with our accountants and insurers where required; with suppliers or scaffolding contractors where your job requires it; and with public authorities where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to 12 months. Records relating to completed works — including inspection findings, photographs and invoices — are kept for up to six years, and longer where a guarantee remains in force. Financial records are kept for the period required by HMRC.

Project photography

We photograph work for quality, evidence and guarantee purposes. Photographs are published as case studies or marketing only with the property owner’s permission, and we never publish a private address — locations are described by town or broad area only.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request erasure or restriction, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Contact us to exercise any of these rights; we respond within one month.

Complaints

Please raise any concern with us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk), the UK supervisory authority for data protection.

Changes

We review this policy periodically and will update this page whenever our practices change.
