Inspection & diagnosis
Every quote begins with an inspection. Where a roof is inaccessible, complex or storm-damaged, we can carry out a drone inspection to capture imagery and annotated findings before recommending works.
Typical scope of work
- Full survey of the structure, existing covering, battens, felt, insulation and ventilation
- Strip of the existing covering with responsible removal and disposal of waste
- Repair or replacement of defective timbers, battens and decking as found
- Breathable membrane, treated battens and new fixings throughout
- New covering laid to the correct gauge and lap for the pitch and exposure
- New lead or proprietary detailing to valleys, abutments, chimneys and verges
- Ventilation provision at eaves and ridge to suit the roof build-up
- Dry ridge and dry verge systems specified where appropriate to the property
Timescale
A typical domestic re-roof runs from several days to a fortnight on site once scaffolding is up, depending on roof area, pitch, complexity and how much timber needs replacing. Weather is the main variable in this region — we plan around it and never leave a roof open when it cannot be made watertight overnight.
Guarantee & aftercare
Re-roofing carries our written workmanship guarantee, issued on completion alongside the manufacturer warranties for the covering, membrane and any dry-fix systems installed. We photograph the completed roof, including details you cannot see from ground level, and remain available for aftercare questions.
Project evidence
Every job is photographed before, during and after the work, so you can see what was found, what was done and what it looks like finished — including the parts of the roof you cannot see from the ground. Those photographs are shared with you and, with permission, may be used as a case study.
