Inspection & diagnosis
Every quote begins with an inspection. Where a roof is inaccessible, complex or storm-damaged, we can carry out a drone inspection to capture imagery and annotated findings before recommending works.
Typical scope of work
- Identification and correction of the water source — often roofline or roof-related — before rendering
- Removal of hollow, blown and cracked render back to sound substrate
- Preparation of the background and application of an appropriate base coat
- Beads, stop ends and movement detailing where required
- Finish coat in the chosen texture, using a mix appropriate to the wall's construction
- Breathable systems specified on older solid-wall buildings
- Making good around windows, doors and roofline junctions
Timescale
A typical domestic elevation takes several days including preparation, coats and drying between them. Full-property work runs longer. Render will not go on or cure in frost, driving rain or extreme heat, so scheduling follows the weather.
Guarantee & aftercare
Rendering carries our written workmanship guarantee, with the manufacturer's system warranty passed on where a proprietary system is used. We will always tell you if a damp problem is being caused by the roof rather than the wall — rendering over a roof defect is not a repair.
Project evidence
Every job is photographed before, during and after the work, so you can see what was found, what was done and what it looks like finished — including the parts of the roof you cannot see from the ground. Those photographs are shared with you and, with permission, may be used as a case study.
