- Manual scraping and soft brushing — no high-pressure washing that strips tile surfaces
- Careful removal of moss from tile laps, valleys and behind ridge and verge details
- Full clearance of the gutters and downpipes afterwards, since moss ends up there
- Optional biocide treatment to slow regrowth where suitable for the covering
- Inspection for underlying defects exposed once the moss is removed
- Removal of all arisings from site
Timescale
A typical domestic roof clean takes one to two days depending on roof area, pitch, access and moss depth. Biocide treatment, where used, needs dry conditions and works over the following weeks rather than instantly.

Cleaning is carried out by methods appropriate to your covering — we will refuse a pressure wash on a roof it would damage, and explain why. Any defects uncovered are reported with photographs and no obligation. Moss will return over time in this climate; periodic cleaning is maintenance, not a permanent fix, and we will not pretend otherwise.
