Drone-inspection capable

Non-intrusive roof surveys

Dry verge conversion for gable ends — replaces failing mortar bedding.

Symptoms & warning signs

  • Mortar crumbling or falling away from the gable edge of the roof
  • Gaps at the verge letting wind, rain and birds under the tiles
  • Verge tiles slipping or sitting proud of the line
  • Staining running down the gable wall from the roof edge
  • Repeated repointing of the same verge

Inspection & diagnosis

Every quote begins with an inspection. Where a roof is inaccessible, complex or storm-damaged, we can carry out a drone inspection to capture imagery and annotated findings before recommending works.

Freshly installed white uPVC fascias, soffits and black seamless guttering along the eaves of a British home.

Typical scope of work

  • Removal of failed mortar bedding along the gable verge
  • Inspection of the verge battens, tiles and undercloak
  • Fitting of mechanically-fixed dry verge caps to each tile course
  • Ridge-to-verge junction caps and starter units fitted to suit the roof
  • Colour and profile matched to the existing covering as closely as available
  • Removal of debris and making good of the gable below

Timescale

Usually completed within a day per gable once access is available. Both gables on a standard house are typically a one to two day job.

Guarantee & aftercare

Dry verge installations carry our written workmanship guarantee plus the manufacturer's warranty on the components. No further mortar maintenance should be needed at the verge.

Project evidence

Every job is photographed before, during and after the work, so you can see what was found, what was done and what it looks like finished — including the parts of the roof you cannot see from the ground. Those photographs are shared with you and, with permission, may be used as a case study.

Before roof cleaning: a UK tiled roof heavily covered in moss with blocked, debris-filled guttering and stained fascia boards.
After roof cleaning: the same roof with moss removed from the tiles, guttering cleared and running freely, and fascias and soffits washed down.
BeforeAfter
Before and after — moss removed without high-pressure washing, gutters and downpipes cleared, roofline washed down. Illustrative of typical cleaning and maintenance work.
